How to Contact the Raise a Hood Team

Direct questions and comments for Raise a Hood should be sent to [email protected]. If you’re looking to schedule time with a telemechanic, you can do so here.

Please Do:

  • Be nice, and respect other people’s opinions and expertise. We encourage robust debate on the issues, but we do not support verbally attacking individuals or their credibility.
  • Use your judgment. All our solutions are created or approved by certified mechanics, but the associated comments by members are left unfiltered. We believe healthy dialogue helps everyone. However, this does not mean every comment is approved or endorsed by Raise a Hood. If you’re going to follow someone’s advice, make sure it’s appropriate for your issue and situation. If you have any concerns or questions, schedule an appointment with one of our expert telemechanics.
  • Share your knowledge. If you think your insights may be able to help another member, then we encourage you to post your solution.
  • If someone has helped you, give them thanks. You can give this by providing a review of their solution or liking their comment. However, please don’t solicit or manipulate the community to gain more positive feedback for yourself. This includes making more than one community profile. Thanks should be earned, not solicited.
  • Share your ideas on how to make this site even better. Some of the best ideas come from our users. If you have a suggestion on how to make the site better, let us know at [email protected].

Please Don't:

  • Post Personal information. This includes phone numbers, addresses, financial details and email addresses.
  • Advertise, post repetitive messages or links. This includes third-party adverts, polss and petitions, junk mail, spam, chain letters or any other form of unauthorized solicitation.
  • Use bad language or insulting/offensive behavior. Raise a Hood fosters an inclusive, friendly and respectful environment on our site – and we need our members to support this to make it work. We encourage a free forum to discuss issues and repairs; we even love it when members can challenge mainstream thinking and bring new and better ideas forward. But never insult or verbally attack other members.
  • Openly discuss moderation actions that have been taken. While moderation is rare, it can occur. If your posts have been moderated and you want to know more, then please get in touch with our Community Manager at [email protected].
