When the station shut down in 1989, he kept serving customers from his home garage, picking up their vehicles himself. That level of dedication built deep loyalty, and it set the tone for everything that followed.
In 1994, Mike’s stepson John Haas joined the business after returning from the Navy. He started at the bottom, learning the trade the right way and eventually taking the lead. Today, John runs the shop alongside his wife Amy, and their son now works in the business too, making this a true third-generation, family-owned operation.
Amy brings a steady, welcoming presence to the shop. As she told us, “Some times people are just trying to get through a tough time. We try to help them solve their problem, even when their budget may be limited.” That approach shows up in how they talk with customers, how they structure repairs, and even in the tone of the shop itself.
