I began my automotive career at a full-service Shell station in the suburbs of Chicago, pumping gas and cleaning service bays. The automotive ‘bug’ soon took hold, and I was hooked. I enrolled in an Auto Tech program at the College of Dupage and began working full-time. I worked my way up from an entry-level technician to lead diagnostic tech and shop foreman.

My experience is wide-ranging, having worked in independent repair shops, seeing all makes and models. As a diagnostic technician, I have enjoyed solving many difficult problems over the years and pinpointing the exact cause of a problem to save my clients money. As a shop foreman, I have had the honor of training many new technicians and high school interns, which has been very personally rewarding.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work for and learn from some of the best technicians in the business. I have also had a lot of fun along the way. About 10 years ago I decided to build a drum set from scrap car parts, and it turned out pretty good! Take a listen - My Unorthodox Automotive Pastime!

Now, over twenty years later, I still enjoy the challenge of diagnosing and repairing broken vehicles. Automotive technology is continually changing and every day there are new things to learn.
