Prescott Tire Pros Celebrates the Holidays with a Family-Focused Christmas
The locally owned shop continued a long-standing holiday tradition in Prescott
Prescott AZ, Dec 2025 - Prescott Tire Pros hosted its annual Christmas celebration last evening, bringing together employees, families, and community partners for a holiday gathering centered on gratitude, tradition, and giving.
Unlike many workplace holiday events, the celebration was designed as a true family gathering. Employees were encouraged to bring spouses, children, grandchildren, and extended family members, creating a multigenerational event that felt more like a community reunion than a formal company party. This year’s celebration welcomed more than 50 attendees.
The event reflects the culture that has long defined Prescott Tire Pros, where relationships and family values extend beyond the workplace.
A Family-Centered Holiday Tradition
Owner Louie Gomez explained that the format of the Christmas party has evolved over time to better reflect what matters most to employees and their families.
“We used to do traditional dinners at restaurants,” Gomez said. “They were nice, but the kids weren’t having much fun.”
Several years ago, the shop moved the celebration to Peter Piper Pizza, creating a setting where children could play freely while adults connected in a relaxed environment.
“The kids love it,” Gomez said. “When they’re happy, everyone enjoys the night more.
”The shift turned the holiday party into an event employees and families genuinely look forward to each year.
A Shared Celebration with Prescott Auto Body
The event also included team members and families from Prescott Auto Body, the neighboring collision repair shop that works closely with Prescott Tire Pros. The two businesses collaborate throughout the year, making joint celebrations a natural extension of their partnership.
“It’s all of us,” Gomez said. “Everyone is invited.”
Bringing both shops together reinforces a shared culture built on cooperation, respect, and long-term relationships. The celebration also received unexpected attention when the Prescott Times stopped by to cover the event, highlighting a more personal side of local automotive businesses.
Supporting Arizona’s Christmas City
While the Christmas party focuses on family and connection, it represents just one part of Prescott Tire Pros’ broader commitment to the Prescott community during the holidays.
For more than 12 years, the shop has supported Prescott’s identity as Arizona’s Christmas City through its involvement in the annual courthouse lighting fundraiser. Organized with support from local businesses and the historic Jersey Lilly Saloon, the event raises funds to illuminate the downtown courthouse square.
Each year, Prescott Tire Pros donates a $2,500 gift certificate to the raffle. Community members purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win donated prizes, with proceeds supporting the lighting display.
According to Gomez, the automotive gift certificate has become one of the most sought-after prizes.
“For $25, people get a raffle ticket, and a $2,500 certificate for tires or automotive services really resonates,” he said.
Gomez estimates that Prescott Tire Pros alone helps generate between $50,000 and $60,000 annually for the fundraiser, contributing to community-wide totals that often exceed $100,000.
A Local Automotive Business Built on People Prescott
Tire Pros provides tire sales, wheel services, alignments, and general automotive maintenance for drivers throughout Prescott and the surrounding area. Prescott Auto Body offers collision repair and bodywork services to customers across Yavapai County.
While both shops are known for technical expertise, Gomez believes their longevity comes from prioritizing people, both inside the business and within the community.
Plans are already underway to expand family-focused events beyond the holidays, including summer gatherings designed to bring employees and families together throughout the year.
“Work is important,” Gomez said. “But family comes first.”
As Prescott celebrates the season as Arizona’s Christmas City, businesses like Prescott Tire Pros and Prescott Auto Body continue to play a meaningful role in sustaining the traditions that define the community, demonstrating that success is measured not only by the work performed in the bays, but by the relationships built beyond them.
